Summer’s here the ice cream trucks are back out on every block and we’re highlighting our favorite ice cream spots all throughout the city. We’ll also include a special stop where you can make your own ice cream and an all-you-can eat ice cream festival that’s going down in a couple of weeks- yes, you read that right all-you-can-eat ice cream!

Big Gay Ice Cream Shop

What started as an ice cream truck now has an outpost multiple outposts around the city. They take old school traditional flavors mixed in with a unique twist of toppings that satisfies all of our cravings from nilla wafers, mini marshmallows and dark chocolate pretzels.

A La Mode Shoppe

A family favorite, especially for families with children with food allergies. This is the ONLY homemade small batch, allergy friendly ice cream shop in the city! They offer nut-free, egg-free, and sesame-free ice cream with gluten-free and dairy free options as well as nut-free toppings. Their signature Blue Cotton Candy ice cream can put a smile on any kid’s face.  In addition to delicious, fun, ice cream flavors the store also is a kids boutique with ice cream themed trinkets, jewelry, clothing and more.

The original Hong Kong waffle shop with a twist. Never heard of an ice cream waffle? Well head on over to eggloo and get familiar with it. Select your waffle flavor- original, chocolate or green tea and then choose your ice cream flavor to stuff it with! Add a little toppings like fruity pebbles, m&m’s and oreo cookies and you have yourself a decadent treat.
