Whitney Art Camp. Join Whitney Museum of American Art this week for their first-ever art camp. This camp is perfect for your kids during their mid-winter break this week. Drop your kids off this week for a day at the Whitney packed with looking, learning, and create their own masterpieces. They will have the opportunity to consider how artists think and work, and use those ideas to develop their own skills.
Before the Museum opens to the public, kids will get to see the galleries filled with Whitney artists including Alexander Calder, Edward Hopper, and Helen Frankenthaler. In the Laurie M. Tisch Education Center, they’ll create artwork based on their gallery experiences and work together on big projects using different lines, colors, shapes, textures, and spaces.
Art camp has a limited capacity, registration required!
