Rain or shine, you’ll find this bustling downtown street to be the ideal place for you and your little ones.

South Street Seaport Museum
You and your family can learn all about the history of New York as a great port city at the South Street Seaport Museum located right at the beginning of Fulton Street. The museum is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and features rotating exhibitions. Specifically, on Saturday and Sundays, the museum hosts Family Activity Weekends where you can explore hands-on activities and engagement stations that are a part of your general admission ticket.

Smorgasburg WTC
If you and your kids love exploring new cuisines or chowing down on local favorites, Smorgasburg is a must. This open-air food market has everything from savory and sweet treats and desserts to hearty burgers, tacos, and more. It is open from the first weekend in April until the last weekend in October from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can spend a few hours browsing all of the food booths and sit down on a nearby picnic table to relax and enjoy a view of the Oculus and the World Trade Center.

Joe’s Pizza
True New Yorkers know that Joe’s Pizza is one of the city’s most classic and iconic pizza joints. After exploring Fulton Street, pop into this popular pizzeria to grab a slice or pie. They offer specialty pies and toppings, but you can never go wrong with a simple cheese pie with a soda on the side. No matter what you order, this place will make you feel right at home.

Midtown Comics Downtown
Does your kid love comic books and superhero movies? If so, a trip to Midtown Comics Downtown will immediately put a smile on their face. Here you’ll find comic books, action figures, and collectibles that your child can add to their collection. The store also hosts sporadic pop culture events, so be sure to check out their website for more information.

IPIC
Not sure what to do on a rainy day? Head over to the IPIC on Fulton Street for a fun and unique movie experience. This boutique theater goes above and beyond your typical NYC movie theater. It offers a chef-driven menu, fully reclining leather seats, waiter service, and the option to reserve pod seats that make you feel like you are lounging in the comfort of your own home.

The Seaport
Take a break from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan and spend the day exploring the tranquil Seaport. Walk along Pier 17 and the cobblestone streets where you will find retail stores, restaurants, pop-up experiences, and the IPIC theater. Depending on the season, the area offers family-friendly activities that you can sign up for on their website.
