The New Amsterdam Library has been hosting Toddler Story Time for years and it’s a great way to introduce your children to the public library system.  Every Thursday, toddlers from 18 months to 3 years and their parents/caregivers can enjoy interactive stories, action songs, fingerplays, and spend time with other toddlers in the neighborhood.  Story time is a great way to encourage listening skills, vocabulary and imagination. Participation is free and no reservation is required and easy stroller access.

And, don’t forget to sign up for a free children’s library card. Children from birth to age 11 can have their own cards; applications must be signed and completed by a parent or guardian. To learn more log onto http://www.nypl.org/locations/new-amsterdam.

On your way out, stop by City Hall Park, just across the street and enjoy the Fall weather and enjoy the leaves changing colors.
