Toddler Music With Irka Mateo! The Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian will be hosting a free weekly music and movement class for children every Wednesday. Drop in with your toddlers and learn about Taino culture. Irka Mateo will teach through the use of stories, song, movement and hands-on activities. It’s a great way to introduce your kids to culture and music in a fun environment. 

Please note: the Education Classroom has been relocated from the East Hallway to the West Hallway on the second floor. Please consult the Information Desk upon arrival for the exact location.

Irka Mateo is a Dominican singer songwriter and world music artist. Her artistic career has been one of breaking boundaries and embracing people’s deepest humanity especially through their music!
