We sure do love all the yummy restaurant recommendations, but Thanksgiving is also a time to reflect and give thanks, and what better way than volunteering during this holiday season. Here is a list of city-wide organizations that need your help this season! This is a great way to get kids involved.
God’s Love We Deliver
God’s Love We Deliver will prepare and deliver meals to people living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other life-threatening illnesses. Volunteers can help prepare and deliver meals at various locations around the City. This opportunity will take place on the morning of November 24. Kids are welcome to participate. Register here. All volunteers must be vaccinated and show proof.
The Race To Deliver
On Sunday November 20, they are also hosting a fundraiser for the whole family in Central Park. The Race To Deliver is a four-mile adult run/walk in Central Park followed by a kids race for ages 2-11. There are a ton of other fun activities to take part in as well! Registration is available online.
