Street Smarts with Prepare Inc. This event is slightly uptown, but we think its worth a hop on the subway for this incredible workshop for tweens. This workshop teaches tweens to about street smarts and preparedness to enhance and empower their personal safety.

Kids will learn how to recognize danger from a distance, use street-smart behavior including body language and non verbal, verbally set limits, separate myths and facts, and to effectively use active physical resistance to stop an assault. 

Prepare Inc offers comprehensive violence prevention programs and evidence-based programs for personal safety, communication skills and self-defense. This training helps create social change, prevent abuse, and support healing.

Classes cater to all ages and genders, all levels of fitness, and all body types. Their school programs focus on health and life skills education, anti-bias and anti-bullying programs, and the fundamentals for social and emotional learning.
