Storytime at the New Amsterdam Library
Storytime at the New Amsterdam Library. The New Amsterdam Library has been hosting children’s programming for years and it’s a great way to introduce your children to the public library system. Kids can enjoy interactive stories, action songs, fingerplays, and spend time with other toddlers from the neighborhood. Story time is a great way to encourage listening skills, vocabulary and imagination. No reservation is required and the library has easy stroller access. Join FiDi Families at their newest offering “Monday Madness”. The theme is vague enough so that the activity is not set in stone. Join the class for a fun craft, short movie, or a surprise activity. Support your local library!
Monday’s session a fun storytime for the smaller set. Miss Navida Stein will introduce an infectious children’s counting song “1 Fish, 2 Fish” as well as a host of other familiar tunes, complete with music makers, rhythm instruments as well as live music on the piano. Miss Navida will incorporate group storytelling techniques to encourage participation, as she encourages attendees to use their imaginations and become little fish. Children will listen to the book “The 3 Little Fish & the Big Bad Shark” to complete the afternoon fun.
