See/Change at the South Street Seaport/Front Street

If you live in the Financial District or anywhere in Lower Manhattan, you are going to be very excited to call this great neighborhood “home” when you enter the South Street Seaport  on Front Street.  The folks from the Brooklyn Flea have migrated to the South Street Seaport/Front Street and have made the decision to help the local businesses make a comeback by participating in the amazing line-up of restaurants, musical artists, cultural artists and more in the storm-ravaged South Street Seaport.

Stop by the Smorgasbar – The popular beer, wine and spirits garden that is usually found in Brooklyn is on Front Street. They will be showcasing a rotating collection of a dozen local food and beverage purveyors curated by Brooklyn Flea, the world-renowned flea and food markets. The array of food vendors and breweries as well as tables and benches for folks to enjoy amazing food and drink is truly impressive. The cobblestone street is spruced up and ready to host FiDi Families and Friends. Treat the kids to a yummy grilled cheese sandwich, amazing milkshake, burger, mexican food, rice bowl, pizza or a ton of other choices. Kids will love the opportunity to eat outside and meet other kids. Parents will love the low maintenance atmosphere and chance to sample some amazing oysters and lobster. Plus, Imagination Playground is a hop, skip and a jump away.

The neighborhood needs everyone to help support this endeavor and to show solidarity to the businesses that want to return and show support to the vendors that have made the commitment to help the neighborhood thrive. Movies will be shown outdoors beginning in July! More info to come.
