NYC Pre-Kindergarten Online Application Update…The Department of Education (DOE) is switching to an online application tool for families whose children will attend kindergarten next fall (a child born in 2009 is eligible to start kindergarten in September 2014). The application process starts in January. The new single application is designed to allow parents to rank their options in order of preference, with zones and admissions priorities remaining unchanged. The DOE has scheduled a presentation for parents to learn more about how the online application process works and answer questions on behalf of the DOE. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the application process and meet other families.
