Becoming a parent can be overwhelming and scary at times. But, there is nothing more daunting than trying to figure out which car seat to buy (and how to install it), which stroller is the best for the concrete jungle and which type of toys, educational or just for fun, are the best option for your infant or toddler. But, luckily, for NYC parents, those questions can be answered by attending the annual New York Baby Show. Thanks to MomTrends for hosting a fabulous blogger lounge with lunch provided by Boston Market.
More than 5,000 visitors attended this incredible show. It’s a great chance to test products before committing to buying and a great opportunity to get expert advice from brands on site and from the various panels that occurred over the course of the tw0-day event. Nursing mothers had a chance to feed their little ones in the Moms Lounge and Dad’s had a chance to relax with NYC Dads group in the Dad’s Lounge hosted by Plum Organics.
We loved the opportunity to speak with some great brands including Americord, Huggies, Bugaboo, WaterWipes, Seventh Generation, Bloom Global, Happy Family, Baby MumMum, Savor, NY Kids Club and so many other businesses that help make parenting more efficient and fun. As a new parent or a parent juggling kids and pregnancy, it can be hard to find the time to do research on all of the products that come with having a newborn at home. The New York Baby Show is a chance to dedicate some time and energy in one spot and get all of your questions answered in a fun and casual environment. There is no sales pressure that you might feel at a brick and mortar store. The brands are on site, simply to share their products and answer any questions you may have. It’s a win-win for the parents and the brands. Many of the brands on site have offices in Lower Manhattan, specifically the Financial District, including Americord and Happy Family. So, we are always thrilled to say hello in person!
We also had the chance to spend the afternoon with the team from MomTrends and chose some of our favorite brands to chat about on camera. The team from Boston Market hosted a delicious luncheon and both parents and kids were happy to have a chance to relax and recharge during the two-day show. We sat down with Mary from Downtown Chic Moms for a fun QA in the MomTrends media lounge and will be sharing our reel on social media.
Be sure to save the date for next year’s show as it promises to be filled with even more exciting workshops and opportunities to meet some of the best of the best when it comes to parenting and all things baby!
