National Museum of the American Indian Storytime. The National Museum of the American Indian hosts children’s events for kids of all ages. Check out this great Smithsonian museum and enjoy exhibits, workshops, film screenings and lectures for adults and children. Listen to The Star People: A Lakota Story by S.D. Nelson (Standing Rock Sioux), a boy’s coming of age story. Learn about the importance of star quilts and make a star design to take home. The museum is a great indoor destination for families to soak in some culture and be indoors at the same time!
