The Junior Knicks organization is hosting a special youth basketball event on Jan 2nd at Madison Square Garden, prior to the Knicks vs. Spurs game. The event will be a Town Hall type discussion focused on the youth basketball experience – how to keep young athletes engaged, having fun, and healthy.
We’ve got a great evening planned that will include opportunities for you to hear and learn from Dr. Lisa Callahan, Chief Medical Officer and Senior Vice President of Player Care for MSG Sports along with Knicks Legend Allan Houston and Liberty Legend Kym Hampton.
We’ll also be joined by Don Showalter, Head Coach/Youth Division Director of Coach Development for USA Basketball as well as industry experts from Positive Coaching Alliance and Hospital for Special Surgery.
Our goal to continuously improve the youth sports landscape for our youngest athletes requires a total team effort, and we’d like to call upon your help to engage others in the dialogue. The event is completely free and open to anyone who has an interest in helping make a positive impact on youth basketball.
