Joanie Leeds and the Nightlights ConcertJoanie Leeds and the Nightlights Concert. Our favorite kids musician is Joanie Leeds. Full disclosure…she performed at both of my kiddos 1st birthday parties and I’ll always be able to say “I knew her when…”. She is serious fun and if you want to watch a roomful of kids get happy at the sound of music, head north to NY’s Symphony Space. Joanie Leeds and the Nightlights are based in NYC based and she and her fun band will debut new tunes from her next album, Good Egg, including “Dino in the Upper West Side,” plus other favorites from her 5 award-winning albums. These performances will be recorded for a forthcoming Joanie Leeds music DVD. Her enthusiasm is infectious and be warned that you might be humming her music all weekend long. Our favorite songs include “Blast-Off and Sushi, Sushi”.

Though the concert is uptown, there is no reason to miss it. Make it full day of fun and follow your visit with a stop at the Children’s Museum of ManhattanKidville or stop in for lunch at Two Boots Pizza, which is right next door to Symphony Space.
