Home Depot Kids Workshop – Building a Rain Gauge
Did you know that Home Depot offers free workshops for kids of all ages? The Manhattan location in the Flatiron District hosts the monthly series, on the 1st Saturday of every month. Though the location is not in Lower Manhattan, it is worth sharing, since its always a fun and worthwhile trip out of the hood.
Join the Home Depot team for a hands-on workshop and build a rain gauge house, so you and your budding scientist can measure the rain dropped by spring storms. Once the gauge is built, your child can paint their project to personalize it.
So, jump on the subway or grab a taxi to take advantage of this fun, free and family-friendly event.
FiDi Families Insiders: Participants keep their craft, receive a certificate of achievement, a Home Depot workshop apron, and a commemorative pin (while supplies last).
