Home Depot DIY Kids Workshop (FREE) - Build a Fire Plane!

Did you know that Home Depot offers free workshops for kids of all ages? The Manhattan location in the Flatiron District hosts the monthly series, on the 1st Saturday of every month. Though the location is not in Lower Manhattan, it is worth sharing, since its always a fun and worthwhile trip out of the hood.

Save the day during Fire & Safety Month and let your imagination soar as you build a fire plane. With a little help, you can learn to use a screwdriver to connect everything you’ll need to become airborne. You’ll be able to attach the wings, landing gear, adjust the tail fin, decorate the propellers with stickers and be ready to fly. All Kids Workshop attendees must be accompanied by a parent or adult at all times.

FiDi Families Insiders: Participants keep their craft, receive a certificate of achievement, a Home Depot workshop apron, and a commemorative pin (while supplies last).

Date: Saturday, October 5th

Time: 9a – 12p

Location: 40 West 23rd Street (Home Depot)

Ages: Recommended for 5 and older
