Experience the thrill of catch-and-release fishing and discover the variety of marine life thriving in the Hudson River! Skilled anglers will be on hand to assist. Rods and bait provided or bring your own. All ages are welcome.

CATCH-AND-RELEASE FISHING 10am: Join experienced anglers for catch-and-release fishing and learn about life in the Hudson River. Observe the day’s catch in aerated tanks and discover what you can do to steward the recovery of the Hudson. This day also features an art project and a nature watching. The River Project, the fellow stewards of the Hudson River and New York Harbor, will join us to share their innovative work in environmental education.

ART PROJECT & NATURE WALK 11am: NYC is known among birders as a fantastic and unique place to observe birds, especially during spring and fall migration seasons. Join a naturalist/horticulturalists team as we look for birds and learn about the plantings and flowers which attract them. All ages and experience levels are welcome! Binoculars available to borrow.

FAMILY PERFORMANCE 12pm: The Suzi Shelton Band – Award winning Brooklyn children’s musician Suzi Shelton performs feel-good, upbeat songs for everybody.  Whether it’s fist-pumping anthems or foot-tapping melodies, her music will have you moving and grooving! Featuring music from critically acclaimed album Smile in My Heart.
