Game On! The Downtown Alliance is sponsoring an amazing and family-friendly array of games and fun throughout the Water Street corridor this Summer. The activities will include table hockey, foosball, Connect Four, Battleship and more. There is also a nod to old school games such as hopscotch, shuffleboard and mini golf.
It’s a great excuse to get out of the office or challenge your kids or coworkers to a game that brings back childhood memories such as Connect Four. Activities will take place at seven locations along Water Street, from Whitehall Street to Wall Street. Water Street at Whitehall Plaza has been turned into an urban beach with lounge chairs and shuffleboard. Make your way to Coenties Slip Park and Plaza and visit the beer garden operated by Zigolini’s (best sandwiches in NYC) and six corn hole games. Plus, you can take the escalator to the beautiful Elevated Acre at 55 Water Street for three-hole mini golf.
The Alliance for Downtown New York conceived of and sponsored the program with support from the New York City Economic Development Corporation and creative contributions from HR&A, Auster Agency, and 3×3 Design.
