Fulton Stall Market Welcomes Local Roots NYC

unnamed-3

Fulton Stall Market Welcomes Local Roots NYC. Come celebrate the launch of Local Roots NYC at the Fulton Stall Market! The usual Sunday outdoor green market on Water and Fulton Street has been busy this holiday season. So if you haven’t already, pay it a visit!

Local Roots NYC is a vibrant food hub that connects New Yorkers to local foods. They are excited to be an addition to the historic Seaport District. The Local Roots NYC General Store features high quality products made by fellow New Yorker, members of the Local Roots CSA, and Seaport residents. The General Store offers features fresh, sustainable produce straight from NY’s nearest farms and vegetables. Local Roots NYC is based on a “pay what you want” model to make food more accessible in a neighborhood with a diverse demographic.

Every Thursday, residents can pick up pre-paid, farm fresh groceries at the store through the CSA program. This brings in a variety of organic vegetables, pasture eggs, artisanal cheese, cured meats, handmade granolas, all-natural beauty products, and more.

Local Roots NYC is excited to be apart of the neighborhood revitalization. They have hosted cooking classes, “Meet Your Farmer” events, and plan to host cooking demonstrations and weekly spirits and food pairings in the future. The store’s lunch menu will expand this winter.

The launch event is open to the public and will host kid friendly ornament making, cooking demos, and live music.

Keep store hours in mind. The General Store is open 7 days a week from 11a – 7p and the CSA Winter Season runs from January – March, every Thursday from 5p – 7p. Place Winter Season orders for the CSA by Friday, December 18th at localrootsnyc.org
