Lower Manhattan’s Imagination Playground in FiDi
The Imagination Playground on John and South Street at Burling Slip has turned the water on for the summer and the water feature is a hit with kids. Pack the sun screen and water shoes as well as a shovel and pail and enjoy this imaginative playground, designed by architect David Rockwell. The Imagination Playground is an interactive, transformable space that prompts children to manipulate their environment and create a play space of their own with sand, water and loose parts. With giant foam blocks, mats, wagons, fabric, and crates at their fingertips, children have the potential to build and explore endless possibilities.
