Saturday, October 20th, 21st, 27th, & 28th
10:00am — 5:00pm Governor’s Island — Pumpkin Point
Returning for its second year, this time in historic Nolan Park, Pumpkin Point will bring thousands of ripe fall pumpkins to Governors Island. The patch is free to visit, and small and medium-sized pumpkins can be handpicked and purchased for a small donation that benefits the Friends of Governors Island. Surrounded by beautiful fall foliage and the village-like atmosphere of former officer’s homes, this free fall spectacular will include free live music, and pumpkin painting with the Children’s Museum of the Arts. Visitors can enjoy a fall beer garden and tasty treats including warm cider, mini pumpkin pies, “ghoulash” by Island vendor Little Eva’s, Blue Marble ice cream and more.

Sunday, October 21st
11:00am — 4:00pm Hudson River Park Pier 25 — Fall Fest
Bring your family to a full day of Fall fun in your west side backyard. Test out your Halloween costume, paint a pumpkin, go fishing, grab some cotton candy while you watch a magic show and get transported away to a world of imagination. Get ready for a spooktacular event. Activities begin at 11am and run through the day – follow the scarecrows down the Pier to find all of the fun!

Monday, October 22nd
12:00 Sarabeth Tribeca — Mommybites
Celebrate Halloween with your baby or toddler while meeting other moms at a “Healthy Halloween” Party presented by Mommybites. Take a break from the traditional Halloween goodies and enjoy a delicious, healthy lunch at Sarabeth’s Tribeca. We’ll also provide some healthy toddler snacks for your little one. There will be a kid-friendly musical performance, gift bags, raffles, local vendors to meet, and more! For other dates and locations click HERE

Wednesday, October 24th
4:00pm Battery Park City Library — Crafternoon
Join us to make a simple Halloween craft. First come, first served. All materials will be provided. For children ages 3 and older.

Friday, October 26th
4:00pm — 6:00pm Asphalt Green — Asphalt Screams
Wear your best costume and join us for an afternoon of tricks, treats, and active Halloween games. Free and open to the public, Asphalt Screams will feature trick or treating and sports-related activities, including a Spooktacular Soccer Shootout.

Saturday, October 27th
10:00am — 12:00pm Léman Manhattan Preparatory School — Halloween Bash
Experience Downtown’s premier Halloween event for kids! For children ages infant through 3rd grade.

10:00am — 3:00pm Westfield World Trade Center Oculus — UNICEF Trick-or-Treat
The #ScaryGood Carnival will be taking place with fun, fall activities for the whole family!  Also, see what surprises await you when you enter the life-size UNICEF Trick-or-Treat box.  Stop by for the exciting activities, a Scavenger Hunt around Westfield World Trade Center, and to pick up your UNICEF Trick-or-Treat box.

Celebrate the magic of Halloween at our fun-filled, all ages family party! Your ticket purchase and donation allow us to sustain our free and subsized arts programming, making arts education accessible to all.The day’s events include a halloween costume parade, spooky scavenger hunt, face painting, art projects, a pumpkin patch, kooky karoake, a spooky maze and haunted hallway, raffles, prizes and MORE! 12:00pm — 5:00pm National Museum of the American Indian — El Dia De Los Muertos
Enjoy a fun-filled day for the entire family at the annual celebration of El día de los muertos, or the Day of the Dead. Traditional dances honoring ancestors willl be performed by Cetiliztli Nauhcampa around the community ofrenda, or altar. Hands-on activities include embellishing paper skull masks, decorating skeleton puppets, creating paper flowers, and painting plaster skulls.

5:00pm — 6:00pm Washington Market Park — Pumpkin Carving Contest
Kids and adults, bring your CARVED pumpkins to the park to be judged in one of five categories: cutest, scariest, funniest, most creative and most realistic. Judging begins at 5:30; winners announced at 6. Battery-operated candles will be provided. Hope to see you and your jack-o-lanterns there!

Sunday, October 28th
1:00pm — 3:00pm Washington Market Park — Parade and Party
Halloween Party and Costume Parade is the park’s longest running event, and it is one of the highlights of our year and for children in the neighborhood! Inside the park, Friends volunteers run a dozen free events, from penny-in-a-haystack to a bone dig in the sandbox, and a hay circle on the lawn.

Tuesday, October 30th
4:00pm Battery Park City Library — Mini Trick or Treat Night
Find treats on a library scavenger hunt, but watch out for tricks!  Wear your costume to the library! Drop in anytime from 4pm to 5pm to pick up your scavenger hunt and earn treats. For children of all ages.

Wednesday, October 31st

6:00pm – Seaport Halloween Parade. Kids and their parents meet at the Haunted Fish-Bridge Garden (between Dover and Water Streets) for trick or treating with local families. Then proceed to the businesses along Front Street for a parade and candy collecting from the participating businesses.
