The Ethan Allen Preparatory at the Golf Performance Center is both an educational institution and golf complex, unlike any other. FiDi Families was invited to an open house to learn about this stunning destination with a focus on the many opportunities students have, while attending school, whether they are day students or boarding students. There are boarding facilities for both boys and girls and the campus is on a lush landscape, surrounded by a pond and acres of greenery.
The school hosts students in grades 6 – 12 along with post-grad programs. But, the school also has a k-12 program with K12 International Academy for blended learning. It’s a great program for student-athletes who are pursuing a golf or sports future and who are motivated to perform both on and off the field. There is flexibility built into the academic program and a strong emphasis on individualized coursework, opportunities to resume build, and volunteer opportunities.
In addition to the day school or boarding option, students have an opportunity to participate in the Junior Academy Program. Students will focus on a variety of sports subjects, depending on their age and skill level. Some examples include fundaments, competitive proficiencies with advanced golf skill development, biomechanical testing, and structured coaching, to name a few.
The Golf Performance Center or GPC has eight instructional bays for a detailed biomechanical evaluation, putting greens, a short course, a fully-equipped gym, clubhouse, and more.
