FiDi Families rang in the New Year at Eataly Downtown’s celebration and it did not disappoint! We kicked off the night with a New Years Eve countdown at 6 pm to celebrate midnight in Italy!
Families were encouraged to participate in a wide range of activities for kids of all ages. Some of our highlights included creating crafts with dried pasta, messy but fun cookie decorating, face painting and our favorite – a make-your-own pizza station! The options were endless and it seemed every age group was offered fun activity stations throughout the night.
The food was plentiful and the all-you-can-eat Italian buffet was delicious. A variety of plates of cured meats, handmade fresh mozzarella cheese, wheels of aged Parmesan kept the guests happy. And, there were enough pizza pies to go on for days as well as a black truffle pasta that was out of this world. The Italian spread was impressive. It was capped off with dessert which included decadent Italian pastries and a beautiful gelato station to celebrate the last day (and meal) of 2017!
The Eataly Downtown New Year’s Eve family party also included a talented DJ who played fun music that literally had more adults on the dance floor then kids. But, the kids loved the dance party and had fun showing off their dance moves. The processeco bar was definitely a hit with the adults. The bartenders created special mocktails for the kids, which were garnished with rock candy as a special treat. This alone would make kids want to attend next year!
The Eataly Downtown New Year’s Eve event sold out so make sure to mark your calendars early next year!
