From Drills to Drums: Civil War Life on Governors Island. The National Park Service is inviting parents and children to take a first hand look of the lives of 19th century soldiers, civilians and prisoners from Governors Island. On Friday, August 8th, parents will have the perfect opportunity to educate their children in an entertaining environment.
