Dine Around Downtown on Fosun Plaza at 28 Liberty
The Downtown Alliance is bringing together the community of downtown restaurants for the annual Dine Around Downtown on May 21st. The foodie event is open to the public and showcases more than 35 restaurants that call downtown home. Tickets will be sold at the event and attendees will have a chance to sample signature dishes from a large array of participating restaurants. Be on the lookout for the following: Aahar Indian Cuisine; Adrienne’s Pizza Bar; ATRIO Wine Bar and Restaurant; Beckett’s Bar & Grill; Bill’s Bar & Burger; Blue Park Kitchen; Blue Smoke BPC; Bobby Van’s Steakhouse; Cowgirl Seahorse; Crown Shy; Delmonico’s Restaurant; Eataly; Financier Patisserie; Harry’s Café; Harry’s Italian; Insomnia Cookies; The Ketch Brewhouse; Le District; Mad Dog & Beans Mexican Cantina; Manhatta; Morton’s The Steakhouse; Northern Tiger; PARM Battery Park; Route 66 Smokehouse; Sky 55 Bar and Grill; Stone Street Tavern; Stout; Temple Court; The Bailey Restaurant and Bar; The Capital Grille; The Dubliner; The Malt House; The Tuck Room; Underdog; and Wei West.
Other community and cultural events on the Fosun plaza include Sing for Hope Pianos, a yearly initiative that gathers local artists to create pianos that will be displayed on the plaza in June, also a part of Fosun’s 515 Family Day global campaign to promote happiness and well-being n the community. The pianos are then placed in public spaces for public use for ten days before being donated to New York City Public schools.
FiDi Families Insiders: A fun photo contest will be taking place, encouraging attendees to post a photo of each of their food plates on Instagram, using the hashtag #DownIsWhatsUp to enter the contest and win a staycation at the Beekman Hotel.
