City of Water Day. FiDi Families and friends are invited to begin (or continue) an annual family tradition as the Metropolitan Waterfront Alliance presents its 7th annual City of Water Day Festival. It’s a free day of entertainment, education & adventure celebrating our beautiful waterfront! This special day is held each year on Governors Island and at Maxwell Park in Hoboken, NJ as well as other venues in surrounding areas. The opportunities for fun are endless and include free boat tours, kayaking, paddle-boarding, fishing, and sailing opportunities and special children’s activities like fishing, races, sing-a-longs, arts and crafts; live music, great food, and more. Over 25,000 people are expected to attend the festival.
