Celebrating Carribean Series: Puerto Rico

Battery Park City Parks continues its new series celebrating the music, art, and culture of the Caribbean with a day focusing on the rich cultural heritage of Puerto Rico.

Explore the music of Puerto Rico with an interactive drum and dance performance by Legacy Women: an all-women musical group rooted in Afro-Dominican and Afro-Puerto Rican traditions. Come listen, dance, and participate with us and make your very own mask inspired by the Puerto Rican tradition of the Vejigante. 

When: Saturday, March 3rd 

Time: 4:00-6:00pm

Location: 6 River Terrace

Age: Art project appropriate for children ages 5 and up.
