http://www.earthydayny.orgCelebrate Earth Day in Union Square. How are you and your family celebrating Earth Day 2014? There are a few simple ideas that you can share with your family. Take a walk, instead of using public transit. Take a shorter shower, plant a tree at one of the many Earth Day events in the City or plant a garlic bulb like we did and have your kids measure it every day until it is ready for consumption! Or you can hop on the subway (uses less energy than a taxi) and make your way to Union Square. The event is sponsored by Earth Day NY and will have a ton of events for kids of all ages. You can even donate used clothing for recycling to re-fashionNYC and e-cycleNYC. Exhibits, eco-friendly arts and crafts, healthy snacks, music and more. Pick up a picnic box from ‘witchcraft during the month of April and $1 goes toward supporting Earth Day New York’s year-round programs!
