Canstruction At Brookfield Place

Canstruction At Brookfield Place

Canstruction At Brookfield Place! It’s the season of giving, so why not make it entertaining with the collaboration of design and food. Come enjoy this annual design competition and a unique food charity. Canstruction challenges teams of architects, engineers, and contractors to build sculptures made out of unopened cans of food. These large scale structures are placed on display and later donated to City Harvest benefitting those in need.

The extraordinary staff of The Institute of Culinary Education will carryout several tastings and presentations with canned food throughout Canstruction. This event will be located right next to Hudson Eats, so take a peak and then grab something to eat with your family and friends.

Chad Pagano, pastry and baking arts chef instructor will be demoing with canned pumpkin from 12p – 3- on Friday, November 6th.

Jenny McCoy, chef instructor at The Institute of Culinary Education (ICE), will be featured on Thursday, November 12th from 12p – 3p. She just published her first cookbook, serves as the co-chair of The Center for Advanced Pastry Studies at ICE, volunteers to help change school lunch programs throughout NYC, and is about to launch her online class series at Craftsy.com.
