Brasil SummerFest

Brasil Summer Fest!

Brasil SummerFest! Make your way to the Seaport for a nigh of electrifying samba! This happening musical event will feature Coladera, the new Brazil/Cape Verdean project led by Marco Suzano. This master percussionist blends the music of Brazil and Portugal through the use of classic guitars, the energetic Brazilian Percussion ensemble and Harlem Samba!

NYC’s premiere Brazilian music and arts festival is returning for its fifth summer this year as it claims to be claims to be the “largest and most important international Brazilian music festival in the world.” Last year was a total success with crowds of 22,000! Due to the high attendance last year, this year’s event extended to 10 days and spread out across the city from Lincoln Center to the South Street Seaport!

If you like what you have seen so far, continue to enjoy the Brasil Summer Fest until Saturday, August 8th! This culturally enriching and extremely fun festival will showcase a standout selection of some of Brazil’s most dynamic artists at free and paid venues throughout the city. Here, you will experience the richness and diversity in the contemporary music scene of Brazil!

Festival co-founder Petrit Pula describes this year’s artists as representatives of the “diversity of the country’s musical landscape.” Musicians range from traditional to contemporary as a way to appeal to audience members of all ages and tastes in music! Get ready to move to the music all SummerFest long!
