The National September 11 Memorial Museum opens May 21, 2014 as the companion to the 9/11 Memorial at the World Trade Center. A Dedication Period, which includes a ceremony and opportunities for members of the 9/11 community to visit the Museum before its public opening, is planned from May 15, 2014 through May 20, 2014.
This Dedication Period is for 9/11 families, 9/11 rescue and recovery workers, active duty first responders and 9/11 survivors. In addition, both residents and business owners of lower Manhattan are invited and encouraged to attend.
If you are part of one of these groups, you may reserve a free ticket to preview the Museum during the Dedication Period and enter a lottery for the ceremony. Reservations are required and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please note: Children under the age of 6 do not need tickets for the Dedication Period. The historical exhibition may not be appropriate for visitors younger than 10. Adults accompanying younger visitors should exercise discretion before entering.
