Reading Partners Book Drive. Spring is in the air and it generally means a clean up of items around the house. This Spring, consider donating new or gently used books that your children have outgrown and donate them to Reading Partners. The local nonprofit “Reading Partners” helps bridge that gap by offering one-on-one tutoring to at-risk students in all 5 boroughs. Join FiDi Families in an effort to collect books for all ages and provide them the opportunity to read books from Dr. Seuss, Eric Carle, and any of your children’s favorite books.

The love of books starts at an early age and has a major impact on the development and success of reading and writing skills for young children. Sometimes, kids do not have the luxury of books and by the time they enter elementary school, they are behind the curve and are in need of extra attention to help them develop their reading and writing skills.
