Hurricane Sandy Fundraising Updates
Hurricane Sandy wreaked havoc on many beloved businesses throughout Lower Manhattan and in particular, FiDi. There are many opportunities to help rebuild and fundraise and a great chance to teach your children about community involvement and rebuilding.
Manhattan Youth Downtown Community Center suffered severe flooding. Join the bucket brigade to help rebuild. Volunteers will have to clean out activity rooms, computer rooms, sheetrock walls, art rooms and more before Manhattan Youth can rebuild. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and able to lift 35 pounds. Bring gloves, a hat, appropriate shoes or boots and old clothes – it is dirty. They will provide dust masks.
Please RSVP on Eventbrite if you plan to attend. If you plan to attend please be on time for coordination purposes. For further information go to www.manhattanyouth.org or call 212.766.1104.
