Wavertree Member and Volunteer Preview on Sunday!
Did you hear the great news? The South Street Seaport Museum will open the 1885 tall ship Wavertree to the public on September 5, 6, 12, 19 and 26 with timed entry, from 11 am – 5 pm at Pier 16 (Fulton and South Streets). And, if you are a member or a volunteer, you can enjoy a free preview day on Sunday, August 30th from 11 am – 5 pm, weather permitting.
Entry is FREE and includes access to the ship’s outdoor areas. Tour this beautiful tall ship, with beautiful views of Lower Manhattan. And, consider purchasing a membership, to help support this vital downtown destination.
Wavertree Visit Details
Visits will be self-guided along a set route and will include access to the outdoor areas, including the main deck and quarter deck.
The Museum will allow no more than 35 guests on board the ship at any time to encourage social distancing from different households.
All guests above the age of 2 will be required to wear a face-covering at all times aboard Wavertree and at the Museum’s Open-Air Pop-Up Gift Shop Booth on Pier 16.
