Meet author Holly-George Warren in a moderated discussion about her new book Janis: Her Life and Music. It’s an intricate portrait of Janis Joplin, which highlights her Texan roots, her blues sound and her progressive views. The author had unprecedented access to Janis’s family, friends and fellow musicians, which is illustrated in the writing and glimpse into the life of an iconic musician.
The discussion will be moderated by Anthony DeCurtis who is a contributing editor for Rolling Stone and a senior lecturer in the creative writing program at the University of Pennsylvania. He is the author, most recently, of Lou Reed: A Life.
