Join us for the annual celebration known as Summer Streets, a “take-over” of some of NYC’s most popular streets and neighborhoods. Traffic is redirected and locals and visitors alike have a chance to hit the pavement on their feet instead of on wheels. On three consecutive Saturdays in August, nearly seven miles of NYC’s streets are opened for people to play, run, walk and bike. During last years celebration, more than 300,000 people took to the “Summer Streets”. Families will enjoy fitness classes and showcases, as well as sports activities and some great sports demos, so don’t miss it!
