This event is out of the neighborhood but worth the trip!
New York City hosts the largest squash championship in the world called Tournament of Champions (TOC). The championship runs from Thursday, January 12th to Thursday, January 19th.
In case you have never heard of the sport Squash; it is a racket sport played by two or four players in a four-walled court with a small, hollow rubber ball. The players alternate in hitting back and forth the ball with their racket and hit the ball onto the playable surfaces of the four walls of the court. Luckily, you can bring the kids for the whole family to enjoy the sport together on Dunlop Kids Day. Before the start of play, TOC players will sign autographs for fans. Kids receive free prizes and a chance to play a game of “Beat-The-Pro”. Every child with a ticket for the session is eligible to enter the raffle; raffle winners are invited onto the glass court to play a few points with one of the TOC players and win a great prize.
