One of our favorite organizations is the Bob Woodruff Foundation. The work that they have done over the last 10 years in supporting veterans has been nothing less than heroic. When Bob Woodruff, the well-liked and respected ABC news anchor was hit by a roadside bomb in Iraq, in 2006, his life changed in an instant. But, with round the clock care and a miracle, he survived. He and his family were inspired to advocate for veterans to receive the best support possible, whether through medical care, financial support or otherwise. They created the Bob Woodruff Foundation, and their mission is based on the belief that we can all stand up for our veterans, our heroes.
Bob Woodruff Foundation Mission:
We ask people to stand up for heroes so that we can find, fund, and shape innovative programs that help our impacted veterans, service members and their families thrive.
The organization is celebrating its 10th year of raising funds and awareness for the veterans and the organization that supports them. Tickets are now on sale to the public and its a fun way to support this incredible organization. It’s a night of comedy, celebrity, inspiration and awareness. And, a great excuse to head north, OUT of Lower Manhattan!
