Bug Out At The BPC! The Children’s Museum of Manhattan introduces Bug Out! The Bug Out class allow for students to investigate what insects are and all their unique qualities. They will also learn the important role each insect plays in the environment.
They will be introduced to science and different methods of research through experiments, demonstrations, art projects and educational story times. This is a first come, first serve event for the first 25 kids that arrive! No reservations necessary!
This event falls under the New York Public Library’s Summer Reading Program! This fun and educational program is generously funded by HSBC Bank USA; New York Yankees Foundation; The Rona Jaffe Foundation; HBO®; New York State Library’s Family Literacy Library Services grant program; Pine Tree Foundation of New York, Inc.; May and Samuel Rudin Family Foundation, Inc.; and a number of anonymous donors.

Don’t miss the kickoff party at your neighborhood library. Ask your librarian about more programs all summer long. Help your kids stay sharp while they’re out of school! Try to read 20 minutes (or more!) each day, in addition to coming down to enjoy the fun at your local NYPL. Once your kids are tired from a day of sunshine and summer activities, wind down at Battery Park City Library!
