Holiday Lighting Extravaganza at the Winter Garden

If you love Christmas trees and the pomp and circumstance of a tree lighting ceremony, save the date for the World Financial Center tree lighting ceremony. It’s a great way to kick off the holdiay season and you can get the kids in the h0liday spirit without a lot of fuss.

Date: Tuesday, November 27th

Time: 6pm

Location: 2– Vesey Street (WFC Atrium)

The lovely glass atrium is decorated with 50,000 lights, transforming it into a twinkling snow globe. Afterward, the New York Theatre Ballet performs its kid-friendly one-hour rendition of The Nutcracker. (You can also catch that performance at 12:30pm the same day, and on Wednesday, November 28 at 12:30 and 6pm.) The lights continues daily 10am to 7pm through Thursday, January 3, 2013.
